Itinerary

Day 1 Casablanca

Marhaba in Morocco! Your adventure begins today with and included transfer after your hotel’s check in. Your tour guide will meet you based on your ETA. Later on, your guide will give you an orientation walk to discover the old medina and wander inside its alleys. Then perhaps explore Casablanca Corniche, enjoying a cup of sweet mint tea in some popular coffees!

Day 2 Meknes - Moulay Idriss

This morning we drive towards Meknas one of the historical cities in this kingdom, 17th century founded by the Sultan Moulay Ismail that turned the city from a provincial town to a spectacular Imperial city. On arrival, get to know Meknes on a guided visit with a local guide. For lunch, visit a friendly local restaurant in the medina and try a Moroccan delicacy – a deliciously rich camel burger! Then continue half an hour driving to Moulay Idriss and settle in a local guesthouse, where the art of hand-rolled couscous is lovingly demonstrated and presented with an original Moroccan meal.

Day 3: Chefchaouen

Drive to Chefchaouen, or Chawen the ‘blue city’ located in northwest Morocco, is not only distinguished by its striking blue Andalusian architecture but also by its rich history and cultural tapestry. The Kasbah here a big fortress dating back to the 15th century, offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding countryside. This evening you will get a real insight into Rifien -Rif Mountains- lifestyle with a local dinner prepared with seasonal ingredients, overwhelmed with flavors and made with love.

Day 4: Fes

Enjoy your morning in Chefchaouen, get a sun shine shots with all the bleu alleyways, sounds, and smells of the medina, the shops in the square selling woven goods and sweets. In the afternoon, travel to Fes, the hestorical, oldest and most culturally rich cities in the Arab world. Fes is the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco – vibrant, noisy, fascinating and overwhelming. You’ll have free time for the rest of the day to explore. Perhaps, take your evening to seek out Moroccan specialities like Harrira chickpea soup

Day 5 Fes

Take a guided walking tour in the old town of Fes. the Medina offers a blend of ancient history, diverse cultures, and a lively atmosphere that immerses visitors in the authentic spirit of the country, Step back into the Middle Ages as you explore the labyrinth of the Medina, which is alive and hectic with craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. Pass donkeys piled high with goods. Yes! it is one of the largest car-free urban zones in the world! Explore and get inside the Souk that holds different specialty sections, Look out for the Medersa Bou Inania, one of the city’s most beautiful buildings. Also, visit a ceramics factory where you can see traditional handmade pottery being made. Your guide will take you on a tasting experience. This afternoon you’ll taste how to create one of the city’s signature dishes – pastilla (or bastilla) – a salty and sweet pastry parcel.

Day 6 Midelt

Morning drive across the fertile countrysides and over the middle Atlas, crossing these little iconic cities Azrou, Ifrane and Imouzar which are a part of ‘Fes-Meknes’ region. Worthy break in Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland”, known for its lakes, rivers and bushy mountains. The Park is home to the largest cedar forest in the world -recognized by UNESCO as a huge natural heritage, it’s also considered as the ecological capital of Morocco, the area is populated with wandering nomadic shepherds attending to their flocks. Continue driving towards Midelt a small farming and mining town, explore this amazing region and walk around its large apple farms. This evening you’ll get to share dinner with a local family, a special meal will be prepared using the aromatic herbs native to the region.

Day 7 Merzouga

Enjoy a spectacular drive and get ready to change the scenery, so many spots to stop and admire, panoramic views, Kasbahs and palm groves (valleys lush with date palms, oasis and orchards). Coffee and lunch breaks in such mesmerising towns- Erfoud & Rissani before reaching your destination, have a short visit in Arfoud galleries and touch its antique fossils which dates back to the Ordovician and Paleozoic era. Later, you will leave your gear at an Auberge and then ride camels to the edge of the Sahara Desert, enjoying a mesmerizing sunset along the way. The dunes are beautifully golden! Dinner this evening at your desert camp will be a traditional spread of Moroccan food. Do not forget to extend your eyes up, Merzouga offers incredible opportunities for stargazing, the night sky in Sahara Desert is a breathtaking spectacle, with countless stars, planets, and visible constellations !

Today’s camel trek is a loop from your camp on the edge of the desert and back. If you don’t wish to ride a camel, you can walk alongside the camels or relax at the camp. Tonight’s accommodation will be in luxury comfy tents. Electricity is temperamental and relies on batteries. Therefore, it’s better to come prepared with devices fully charged.

Day 8 Dades Valley

After breakfast, prepare for a scenic drive filled with stunning landscapes on the way to the Dades Valley. The journey will take you past ancient kasbah ruins, former colonial military outposts, massive mountains, traditional irrigation system and red valleys of palm trees. Dinner tonight is an Amazigh tagine prepared in a traditional clay pot cooked over an open fire.

Day 9 Dades Valley

Enjoy a full day exploring the beautiful, largely untouched, Moroccan backcountry. Travelling on foot is the best way to get a closer look at the natural landscape and the rural way of life. On the walk you’ll pass Berber villages, meeting the incredibly friendly local people along the way. You’ll also learn the tea-making secrets of Berbers at an exclusive demonstration with a local family; listen to their stories and discover what family life is truly like in the Dades Valley,

Day 10 Ait Ben Haddou

Today we’ll leave the Dadès Valley to set off on the fabled Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. A kasbah is a type of keep, or citadel, usually a part of the defensive structure of a city and often where the local leader would reside. The first stop for us today is the majestic oasis of Skoura, home to several privately owned kasbahs. Here we’ll visit Kasbah Amridil, with its extravagant decorations and mud-brick fortifications, before continuing on to Aït Benhaddou, Perched on a hilltop and almost unchanged since the 11th century. It is one of the most iconic sites, a real example of southern Moroccan architecture and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town has a long list of film and TV credits, including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the winding streets of the old town, making your way to the hilltop, from where you can enjoy the views across the surrounding plains.

Day 11 Marrakech

Today, head to your final destination – Marrakech, On the way, you’ll stop by a women’s cooperative, where they produce locally grown argan oil. A product that’s endemic to Morocco and used for both culinary and cosmetic purposes, you’ll see the trees that produce the argan oil and learn the process of how the workers extract it. Learn about how it’s used and all the benefits before continuing to Marrakech. This evening, maybe join the crowds for dinner at the famous Djemaa el-Fna – one of the largest public spaces in the world and unique to Marrakech. When night falls on this square, it transforms into a hive of activity, with henna painters, performers and storytellers…

Day 12 Marrakech

After breakfast today, meet your local guide and set off on a morning tour of the old medina, through the bustling Markets that are the lifeblood flowing through the city. Explore tranquil courtyards filled with the scent of orange blossom, and the many salons and chambers that make up Bahia Palace. This splendid mansion was built in 1866 for a former slave who rose to power within the government. Stop by the Koutoubia Mosque, its famous minaret is the prototype for others of its kind around the world, including La Giralda in Seville. Then walk back through the streets of the old medina to the Djemaa el-Fna to enjoy a refreshing glass of fresh orange juice

Day 13 Marrakech

There are no activities planned after breakfast so you are free to leave your accommodation at any time. It’s worth adding a night or two in Marrakech, perhaps, if you wish to spend more time, we’ll be happy to book you an extension of tree days trip in a beautiful coastal city – Essaouira or any –Optional activity-
