Day 1 Casabanca

Marhaba in Morocco! Your adventure begins today with and included transfer, after checking your hotel, your tour guide will be at our disposal for a welcome meeting in the lobby, and give you an optional visit on the spot (regarding your arrival time!) besides your guide will give you an orientation walk to discover the old medina and wander inside its alleys. Then perhaps explore Casablanca Corniche, enjoying a cup of sweet mint tea in some popular coffees!

It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will be collecting Passport number, insurance details and next of kin information at this time. If you are going to be late, please let your travel agent or guide know. Some travelers have reported being approached by locals offering excursions before their trip commences. Day 2 Moulay Idriss- Fes

This morning after visiting the most impressive mosque in Casablanca –Hassan II mosque- we travel towards Moulay-Idriss village, the holiest Islamic town. Head out on a leader-led walking tour, stopping for an optional home-cooked lunch before setting off again. Your next stop is Volubilis – a partly-excavated Amazigh-Roman city outside of Meknes. Explore the roman ruins of -Walili- with a local guide, which are covered in wildflowers in the spring. Arrive in Fes, your final destination, and sit down for an included Pastilla dinner in a beautiful riad. This Moroccan specialty is a delicious sweet and savoury pastry parcel of shredded chicken and almonds.

Day 3 Fes

Take a guided walking tour in the bottom of the old city, offering a captivating blend of ancient history, diverse cultures, and a lively atmosphere that immerses visitors in the authentic spirit of the country, Step back into the Middle Ages as you explore the labyrinth of the Medina, which is alive and hectic with craftsmen, markets, tanneries and mosques. Pass donkeys piled high with goods. Yes! it is one of the largest car-free urban zones in the world! Explore and get inside the Souk that holds different specialty sections, Look out for the Medersa Al-Attarine and Fundouk Najjarine, one of the city’s most beautiful buildings, which has recently been restored and is now open to tourists. Also, visit a ceramics factory where you can see traditional handmade pottery being made. Stop for a refreshing mint tea at a local café and take in the views of the bustling medina. Return to your Riad in the late afternoon for a free evening.

Day 4 Merzouga Desert

This morning get ready to change the scenery, crossing these little iconic cities, Ifrane, Azrou and Imouzar which are a part of ‘Fes-Meknes’ region. Worthy break in Ifrane, nicknamed “Little Switzerland”, known for its lakes, rivers and huge national parc, it is home to the largest cedar forest in the world (recognized by UNESCO as a huge natural heritage), and also considered as the ecological capital of Morocco, So many spectacular spots to stop and admire, panoramic views, Kasbahs and palm groves (valleys lush with date palms, oasis and orchards). Lunch in Midelt, later you reach the destination and leave your gear at a simple Auberge and then ride camels to the edge of the Sahara Desert, enjoying a mesmerizing sunset along the way. The dunes are beautifully golden! Dinner this evening at your desert camp will be a traditional spread of Moroccan soup, tajine and seasonal fruit.
Do not forget to extend your eyes further up, Merzouga offers incredible opportunities for stargazing, the night sky in Sahara Desert is a breathtaking spectacle, with countless stars, planets, and constellations visible!

Your travel time today is approximately 9 hours. Today’s camel trek is a loop from your camp on the edge of the desert and back. If you don’t wish to ride a camel, you can walk alongside the camels or relax at the camp.

Tonight’s accommodation will be in nomadic-style tents with a dining and bathroom tent. Blankets and mattresses are provided, but during the winter months, from November to March, you may consider bringing your own sleeping bag for extra warmth and comfort. Electricity is very temperamental and relies on batteries. Therefore, it’s better to come prepared with devices fully charged.

Day 5 Toudgha gorges

Rise and shine nice and early this morning and climb one of the sand dunes to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. Then drive to Todra Gorge – a massive trench that rises over 300 metres to form one of the most natural sights in Morocco, such a gorgeous gorges! When you arrive, head out on a leisurely walk through the Todra Valley with your leader. You’ll walk through shaded palm groves and local farms – thanks to the abundance of water here, there are orchards of almost every variety! Think apples, pears, plums, apricots, quinces, pomegranates, figs, almonds and peaches as well as tomatoes, mint, squash, carrots, turnips, beans and grapes. All these plantations belong to locals, who you’ll meet along the way, learning how they take care of the land using traditional irrigation techniques. Tonight, you might like to enjoy an optional dinner of all the local produce you’ve seen growing around you.

Day 6 Ait Ben Haddou

This morning after breakfast, you’ll drive to Ait Benhaddou. Perched on a hilltop and almost unchanged since the 11th century. It is one of the most iconic sites, a real example of southern Moroccan architecture and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town has a long list of film and TV credits, including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Enjoy a walk through the winding streets inside the Ksar, making your way to the hilltop, from where you can enjoy a mesmerizing sunset. Visit some associations like Tawesna teahouse on the river, a community-run establishment that provides local women an income to support themselves and their children. Using ingredients sourced from local cooperatives, the women prepare delicious mint tea and pastries while sharing their stories with those who pop in to visit. After heading to your hotel for the night, watch the sun setting over the kasbah before an included group dinner.

Day 7 Marrakech

Today, head to your final destination – Marrakech, On the way, you’ll stop by a women’s cooperative, where they produce locally grown argan oil. A product that’s endemic to Morocco and used for both culinary and cosmetic purposes, you’ll see the trees that produce the argan oil and learn the process of how the workers extract it. Learn about how it’s used and all the benefits before continuing to Marrakech. This evening, maybe join the crowds for dinner at the famous Djemaa el-Fna – one of the largest public spaces in the world and unique to Marrakech. When night falls on this square, it transforms into a hive of activity, with henna painters, performers and storytellers…

Day 8 Marrakech

After breakfast today, meet your local guide and set off on a morning tour of the old medina, through the bustling Markets that are the lifeblood flowing through the city. Explore tranquil courtyards filled with the scent of orange blossom, and the many salons and chambers that make up Bahia Palace. This splendid mansion was built in 1866 for a former slave who rose to power within the government. Stop by the Koutoubia Mosque, its famous minaret is the prototype for others of its kind around the world, including La Giralda in Seville. Then walk back through the streets of the old medina to the Djemaa el-Fna to enjoy a refreshing glass of fresh orange juice

Day 9 Marrakech

There are no activities planned after breakfast so you are free to leave your accommodation at any time. It’s worth adding a night or two in Marrakech, perhaps, if you wish to spend more time, we’ll be happy to book you an extension of tree days trip in a beautiful coastal city – Essaouira or any –Optional activity-
